Interested in becoming a CityBus Driver?

 

Here's how;

 

  1. Download the Application Form or phone 01752 264208 and ask for an information pack, giving us your name and address
  2. Complete the application form and equal opportunities form in your own handwriting and send them to us. Please do not email these forms.
  3. Applications are welcome from all sections of the community. All applicants who are offered employment as a bus driver are subject to a criminal record check.
  4. If you are successful you will be invited to attend a Selection Event . This involves a driving assessment, interview and a written test.
  5. If you want to know more before you apply, just phone 01752 264208 Monday to Friday 0830 to 1630.

What happens if you are offered a job?

  1. We help you apply for your provisional PCV licence
  2. You join Citybus on a 4 week Driver Training Course ending in the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Initial Qualification (4 Modules)
  3. Then you complete a further 3 weeks training on routes, ticket machines, customer care, and cash handling etc. PCV Licence holders join at this stage
