7 Day paper tickets are quick and easy to buy and use, but they need to be looked after as the driver needs to be able to see the information on the ticket when presented for travel.

This is a great product and works in just the same way as topping up credit on a mobile phone. Put credit on your card and then purchase your bus fares as needed.

We hope that you will be very happy with your chosen product, should you wish to change your product i.e. from All Zone to One Zone then you would need to take your card to our Travel Shop for the card to be updated for the new product type.
If you decide that the card is not for you then we will under certain circumstances refund any unused product calculated at full days remaining less 10%.
Child fares are available to under 16’s. If you look 16 or older you may be asked to prove your age unless you are in a recognised School Uniform or use a Plymouth Citybus child Freedom card.
In Plymouth OAP’s & disabled passengers can travel free between 09:30** and 23:00 Mon to Fri and all day Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays within Plymouth City. ** Plymouth resident over 80’s can travel free all day until 23:00** Please state your destination when boarding your bus.
In Cornwall OAP’s & disabled passengers can travel all day every day free in Cornwall and into Plymouth. (Return journeys from Plymouth come under the national scheme time rules) Please state your destination when boarding your bus.
In West Devon or South Hams OAP’s & disabled passengers can travel free between 09:00 and 23:00 Mon to Fri and all day Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays within West Devon or South Hams. Please state your destination when boarding your bus.
For Free travel OAP’s and disabled passengers must show a valid pass to the driver, these are available from your local council.
The above rules are applicable to the residents of each scheme Plymouth Citybus covers. If you are a non resident travelling outside your home area you will come under the England national rules for free travel which is between 09:30 and 23:00 Mon to Fri and all day Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

From the 5th November Plymouth Citybus customers will be able to advance purchase our very popular DayRider Ticket and top up a number of Freedom Card products at any one of the 137+ PayPoint outlets across Plymouth and Saltash.
Adult Freedom Card Customers will be able to go to PayPoint terminals and will be able to top up the following products:
Additional Stored Value in multiples of £10.00 up to a maximum of £50.00
Adult 7, 28 & 90 Day Inner, Outer & All Zone passes can be topped up
Adult DayRiders 1 Journey & 10 Journeys can be topped up
Please note that you can only top up a product that is already on your card. If you would like to change products then you will need to visit our Travel Shop on Exeter Street in Plymouth.
All customers will be able to purchase Adult, Child and Family DayRider paper tickets.Exclusive to PayPoint it will be possible to advance purchase a DayRider for use up to seven days in advance.
Helpful Guide
Freedom Card Products
Visit any newsagent in Plymouth and Saltash displaying the PayPoint logo.
Present your Freedom Card to the retailer and ask to top up your card. Please note that you can only top up a product that is already on your card. If you would like to change products then you will need to visit our Travel Shop on Exeter Street in Plymouth.
The retailer will then top up your card, once topped up payment will need to be made and a receipt will be issued. Once complete your card is ready to use on any of Plymouth Citybus local bus services.
Day Tickets
Visit any newsagent in Plymouth and Saltash displaying the PayPoint logo.
Ask for either an Adult (£3.20), Child (£2.20) or Family (£6.40) DayRider. (Family DayRiders = 2 Adults and up to 3 children under the age of 16)
You are able to purchase a PayPoint DayRider for use up to seven days in advance all you need to do is let the retailer know which day you wish to travel.
Once done the ticket will be printed. Payment needs to be made and the transaction is complete. The printed ticket then acts as a DayRider which is valid for the day displayed on the ticket.
All you need to do is present the ticket to the driver of the Citybus service or services that you are travelling on. Please take care of your ticket as the driver will need to clearly see the information printed on the ticket. If the ticket becomes defaced the driver may refuse travel.
